Cycle Canberra, Road Ride, Googong Dam

This is a challenging and rewarding bike ride east of Canberra to the Googong foreshore and Googong Dam lookout. It is an undulating bike ride that is suitable for experienced touring bike riders and seasoned cyclists. It is also a very scenic bike ride, passing woodlands, open forests, grasslands, and of course offering beautiful views across the Googong Reservoir. This bike ride is often used by locals to get a good fix of hill climbing without having to travel south or too far from the city centre.

Access

Kingston is easily accessible from Canberra’s arterial roads. From the south travel along Adelaide Avenue towards the city; from the north, travel across Commonwealth Avenue Bridge or Kings Avenue Bridge and follow the signs to Kingston.
