Biking in Milwaukee (Wisconsin)

Milwaukee is the largest city in the state of Wisconsin and the fifth-largest city in the Midwestern United States. Here is a wish-to-go place for any cyclists.

This city has so much to offer its riders – whether you’re biking for exercise or for beer garden transport. Or are you a cycling enthusiast or the leisurely afternoon rider? Do you want to fly over off-road tracks or slowly meander down a scenic paved trail? Whichever you prefer, Milwaukee is the place to be.

Bring your own wheels or rent a bike from one of 28 downtown Bublr Bike bikeshare kiosks. Milwaukee’s bike-share program has been growing leaps and bounds since it first came on the scene in 2014. If it is not just enough, you should know that all Milwaukee city buses are equipped with racks and you can bring your bike along with no extra fare. This will make it easier than ever to commute to work by bus; if it starts to rain during the day, just take the bus home.

Milwaukee is also home to many unique cycling events and races, including the Fat Tire Tour, the Downer Classic, East Tosa Gran Prix and the UPAF Ride for the Arts. Moreover, Milwaukee is lucky to have some great cycling clubs, which provide a support system of sorts for those who like to get around on two wheels. With membership dues typically comes an invitation to take part in organized local rides and sometimes other fun events as they come up.
