The Victorian High Country encompasses the towns and villages of Dinner Plain, Mount Buffalo, Mount Beauty, Benalla, Bright, Falls Creek, Mansfield, Harrietville, Yackandandah, Corryong, Wangaratta, Rutherglen, Myrtleford, Tallangatta, Hotham, Chiltern, Beechworth, King Valley & Milawa, Mount Buller and Glenrowan.
Victoria’s high country hosts an abundance of bike rides from rail trails, mountain bike tracks, and a plethora of road rides. While not exploring the many bike rides on offer, you will also find an abundance of wineries and locally produced cheeses and smallgoods which are a feature of towns in the Rutherglen, Wangaratta and Milawa area.

Getting to the Victorian High Country
From Melbourne, Victoria's High Country is an easy 2.5 hour drive on the Hume Highway. Other options are to jump on a plane, train or bus and sit back and relax while you’re taken to the doorstep of the High Country.
Wangaratta Coachlines operate services Monday to Friday to throughout the region from major towns Wangaratta, Wodonga and Albury.
Qantas, REX (Regional Express) and Virgin operate several flights daily from Melbourne and Sydney into Albury Airport. Check airline websites for current flight information. Hire cars are available from Albury Airport.
