Less than ten minutes from downtown Dahlonega, the Chattahoochee National Forest boasts some of the best mountain biking trails in all of Georgia. This trail system ofthe Nimblewill area guarantees to satisfy every rider by its complexity and beautiful scenery.
Within a four square mile area of the Chattahoochee National Forest’s Blue Ridge Ranger District, The Jake and Bull Mountain Trail System forms a diverse and wonderful trail network, providing approximately 36 miles of entertaining trails made up of dirt and gravel for mountain bikers, hikers and equestrians. And yes, this is - of course - the home of the IMBA EPIC Bull and Jake Mountain Trail.
With awesome tracks, great restaurants, and nice hotels, you've no reason not to visit Dahlonega!

When to go
Dahlonega is blessed with a temperate climate which is perfect for outdoor recreation year-round. However, the best time for the greatest mountain biking trip is probably summer when things are a little muggy but warm. If you can’t make it in summer, don’t worry, since autumn is also perfect for warm-weather activities too.
