Driggs (Teton Region)
Mountain biking in Driggs (Teton Region)
Officially founded in 1888, Driggs is one of the oldest towns of Idaho, USA. Despite its modest size of around 1800 people which - coincidentally - is also about the metric elevation height at which the town sits, it's a great destination for bicycle travelers and provides everything you need for a simply awesome adventure. So much so, that it was listed by the National Geographic in 2007 as one of America's ten best outdoor recreation destinations. If anything, it's only improved since.
And the best news of all for the discerning mountain biker? In 2014, Teton Region, including Driggs and Jackson Hole (Wyoming), was designated as IMBA silver level Ride Center. Yeah, you'll want to visit and get your mtb fix here for sure! This small but mighty town has so much to offer and astonishes every visitor, particularly mountain bikers, for its beauty and unique singletrack rides. And much of its beauty and appeal lies in its small size - it's compact, there aren't too many distractions, and it's all-encompassing!
