Mountain Biking in Reading


The Greater Reading area, is the only IMBA (International Mountain Biking Association)’s Ride Center in the northeast US, and has Bronze level accreditation. Located in Berks County, it offers more than 125 miles of mountain biking trails. Reading occupies a stretch of land bounded by the Schuylkill River to the west, Mount Penn to the east, and Neversink Mountain along the south.

Trails in Reading vary from beginner cruises through to technical rocky singletracks, with something for everyone. Whether you're an experienced mountain biker or a novice enthusiast just looking to enjoy the afternoon on a well maintained and cruisey trail, Reading has what you're after. Union Canal is a perfect biking trail for anyone simply looking to get outside.
