Join us for a leisurely Saturday morning ride around the Central Basin of Lake Burley Griffin, taking in a number of the national institutions and Canberra's key visitor destinations.
This is a ride perfect for families and visitors and, best of all, is on one of the world's best and coolest bikes - a Brompton!
Participants will ride an iconic Brompton folding bike. These bikes are quickly gaining attention and popularity for their versatility, able to be packed up to fit in discreet places, whilst still offering a high level of comfort for a leisurely ride or commute, maintaining an upright, stable body position.
The ride is slow and easy and will cater to the pace of the group, following the flat shared path around the Central Basin of Lake Burley Griffin. This ride passes by the National Library, Old Parliament House, the Carillon, Blundell's Cottage, the National Museum of Australia and the Sculpture Gardens.
The tour also includes entry to the National Gallery where the tour will stop for an hour, and lunch at a Kingston foreshore cafe.
The ride commences from Rond Terrace Car Park at 8:30am, returning again by around 1:30pm.
Water is provided.
The tour includes a maximum of 10 Participants, and a minimum of 2.
