Cuyuna.com Trail Ride Overview:

This 2.3 mile beginner-friendly mountain bike singletrack ride loop features both the Cuyuna Lakes State Paved Trail and the first loop of the South Drag Line singletrack trail to the South of the Portsmouth Mine Lake. This loop starts and finishes at the Croft Mine Historical parking lot just north of the City of Crosby, on MN HWY 6.

Currently you do not need a Minnesota State Park vehicle permit to park in the Croft Mine Historical parking lot.

You'll enjoy mountain biking the following trails:

  • Cuyuna Lakes State Paved Trail heading west out of the Croft Mine Historical parking lot.
  • Cross (cycle across) State Highway 6, please yield to all traffic.
  • Continue west on the Cuyuna Lakes State Paved Trail.
  • Cycle past the first mountain biking trail you see to your left.
  • Turn left onto the Drag Line singletrack trail (By Trail Kiosk and Picnic Shelter) off the Cuyuna Lakes State Paved Trail.
  • Complete the first loop of Drag Line.
  • Choose your own adventure: Cycle back west on the Cuyuna Lakes State Paved Trail to the beginning of the South Drag Line singletrack and session/repeat the trail or cycle back on the Cuyuna Lakes State Paved Trail to the parking lot.
  • It should be noted, the second loop of the Drag Line singletrack trail is more difficult than the first loop.
  • Depending on your mountain biking speed, this could be an hour or a half-day experience.
