Majura Pines - XC Trails

Majura Pines - XC Trails

The heart of the Majura Forest consists of a loop of cross country trails. Some of these trails are old favourites that survived relatively unscathed from the road construction; trails such as Pitt Street, Dew Drop Inn, Mata Hari and Mudhoney. Combined with newly hand built trails by the volunteers of Majura Pines Trail Alliance, these trails make up a loop with plenty of options. All of these trails are two way increasing options available, but please do look out for oncoming riders, particularly at the weekends.

We think the loop rides best in a clockwise direction. Starting from the western end of the concrete underpass ramp, take the first trail on the left and ride these trail in this order:

  • Radicle
  • Smitten Kitten
  • Innabaanya
  • Sleepy Hollow
  • Love Shack
  • Beyond the Black Stump
  • Johnson
  • Lincoln
  • Telemark
  • PS2
  • Pitt Street
  • Dew Drop Inn
  • Mata Hari
  • Mudhoney
  • Bogs and Logs

The terrain contains a 537 feet ascent and around 225 feet descent . You may experience the pump and rocks section from the trail.

To access the descent trails, after Love Shack climb either AJs Leap or Boy Wonder AJs and then on up onto Larry. To ride Winery Hill, continue straight over the fire road after Mudhoney on to Mr Squiggle.

    Food and drink

Food and drink are not available from the trail so do not forget to bring your own bottle and snacks to recharge your energy.
