Overview

Buffalo Gap is an ideal ride to escape from the crowed city for a day. The trail is located in Quachita National Forest and made up of Forest Service Roads. Usually, the roads are in good shape, and there are no difficult or technical sections, so overall you are going to experience a nice and smooth ride from A to Z. However, there are still a few climbs, some are steep, some are gentle. But with the scenic views along the way, a little climb won’t ruin your experience for a casual and easy bike ride.

Terrain

The terrain is not rough. There are two pretty steep climbs, but the rest of the ride is relaxed and stright-forward.

Access

Parking is available at the trailhead on Forest Service Road 11 and at Deckard Mountain Vista. The route is the same no matter which direction you take.

Food and drink

Please prepare yourself with something to eat and drink as there are no food or drink providers around the trail.
