Ambassador FAQs

Ambassador FAQs

Can a destination have more than one Ambassador?

Yes. For example, there may be instances where one Ambassador focuses on sharing mountain bike experiences, and another on sight-seeing tours.

Can I submit a joint application with a friend?

Yes. We welcome joint applications, including those from bicycle clubs and other organisations where multiple people may contribute content to best promote local cycling experiences. However, depending on the number of people involved in a joint application, we may not be able to provide swag for each individual.

What is CycleLifeHQ?

We’re the world’s one-stop-shop for the best cycling experiences. We're building a bespoke online platform which brings together all the information the best bicycle adventures and cycling vacations, combined with the best local bike friendly businesses - where to stay, where to eat and drink, where to rent a bike, book a guided tour and more.

Does CycleLifeHQ provide insurance cover?

No. You will need to arrange your own public liability and/or professional indemnity insurance in accordance with local requirements in your State or Country.

Can I apply to be an Ambassador for a place I don’t live?

Yes, if you have sufficient familiarity and knowledge of a place that’s not your home location. For example, you may have experienced the destination as a bicycle tourist yourself and can document your rides, as well as provide information for places you stayed, places where you ate or drank, rented a bike or other.

I operate a private business that I would like to promote to bicycle tourists. Can I apply to become an Ambassador?

Yes. And we welcome the listing of your private business as part of the destination profile. We also hope that you will contribute to broader local community outcomes by providing information about other experiences in the region beyond what your business provides.

What are Ambassadors required to do?

Our Ambassadors get to do all the cool stuff. As an Ambassador you can choose to do any or all of the following:

  • list the best local rides;
  • share and help promote your favourite bike shops, breweries (whether it be coffee, beer or other!), local attractions and more;
  • create multi-day itineraries and packages;
  • write blogs; and
  • develop a brand and personality for yourself and your destination.

Is this an ongoing role?

You can choose to be an Ambassador for as long as you like. We anticipate some of our Ambassadors will be keen to create initial content and, once this is done, may wish to take a back-seat while others will want to continue their journey, leading local rides, writing blogs, sharing social media content and more. We’re flexible for an approach that suits you best.

CycleLifeHQ also reserves the right to terminate a relationship with an Ambassador in circumstances where they do not act in the interests of cyclists, their destination and/or CycleLifeHQ and/or where they do not meet the commitments we ask of our esteemed Ambassadors, including a minimum amount, and quality, of content.
