This self-guided cycling discovery tour of Provence on an electric assisted bike is a must do! 

Between the vineyards and the lavender fields our E-bikes will open up new horizons and spectacular panoramas.  The hilly area of Vaucluse in Provence, is a small cycling paradise offering a wide range of high quality rides.
On top of this, the Vaucluse is also well known for the quality of the wine and the food. 
E-Bikes are the perfect tool to reach  the charming villages very often perched on hillsides in the middle of a pristine environment and enjoy the sweetness of the Provence Art de Vivre.

This tour is designed by local riders to let you discover like a local and believe us, there is no better way to discover your own secret Provence than by bike!


This itinerary is a sample itinerary and can be personnalized to meet your exact expectation in terms of ride, services and trip duration.

Day 1: Welcome in Provence

Welcome in Provence!

Our team will welcome you in Avignon and wil drive you to your first hotel in Bedoin at the feet of the Mont Ventoux.
After your check-in, we will do the start of tour briefing we will ensure you receive the correct bike and equipment and help with the necessary task of setting up the bike for you.
Depending your time of arrival you will have the choice between several biek itinerary for today.
Dinner and night in a 3*hotel and flavorful restaurant - Bedoin


Day 2: Dentelles de Montmirail and the Côtes du Rhône Wine Area

Distance: 53km // Elevation: +900 m

Today, your ride is a loop from Bedoin that will take you on very scenic road rolling into the Dentelles de Montmirail, a jagged chain of limestone mountains that is carpeted by vineyards and olive groves, to the Côtes du Rhône wine area and the village of Vacqueyras.
Vacqueyras is also the namo of a famous wine appelation. In vacqueyras, we have planned for you a wine experience with a winemaker.
He will welcome you for a commented visited in the vineyard followed by a lunch paired with a wine tasting.

Day 3: Gorges de la Nesque

Distance: 73km // Elevation: +1256m

Today's ride will take you from Bedoin to another classic route: Les Gorges de la Nesque. After the small village of Ville sur Auzon, head on into the Gorges de la Nesque. 20 km of pleasantly-graded climbing alongside a sheer-walled, limestone canyon. Enjoy the impressive views!
As you exit the Valley of the Nesque River you will through the Mont de Vaucluse till your next destination, a village called Mazan.

Day 4: Market in L'Isle sur la Sorgue and Fontaine de Vaucluse

Distance: 46km // Elevation: +765m

This morning, ride the first part of today's itinerary to L'Isle sur la Sorgue a wonderful small town famous for its market (Thursday and Sunday) and the antic shop. L'Isle (as we locals called it) is also called the Little Venice of Provence due to the numerous small canal runing into the old center of the town.  
After lunch, ride to the well known village of Fontaine de Vaucluse, from which the river Sorgue comes up so mysteriously and which is recorded in official documents from the tenth century.
You ride today will end in Gordes, one of the most famous village in the Luberon also listed in the 100's most beautiful vilage in France.

Day 5: Small Villages of the Luberon

Distance: 58km // Elevation: +1040m

Loop ride from Gordes.
Your itinerary today will take you throught the Luberon National Natural Park to visit some of the nicest small village in Provence such as Roussillon and its red clay cliff, Menerbes with a nice spot to have a wine tasting of the Luberon appelation, Lacoste a medieval gem with its cobble stone street.
Dinner at your hotel - The owner is a very good chef and will cook a gourmet  diner for you. 
Night in a charming boutique hotel  - Gordes.


Day 6: Avignon, the Pope City and "Au Revoir !"

Last day, it will be the time to say "au revoir!"

After breakfast, our team take you to Avignon.
Depending at what time will be your train, your driver will be happy to organize a guided visit of the city before to take you to the train station.
