A fun, easy day of guided cycling in the beautiful McLAren Vale wine region south of Adelaide.
You will be picked up in central Adelaide and transferred to the start point, where you will be fitted out with a good quality bike and helmet. The cycling is easy and follows the Shiraz Rail Trail through the largely flat and scenic vineyards of McLaren Vale wine region.
Having warmed up, it’s time for refreshments, and after teasing our tastebuds with vineyards all around us, we pick our favourite cellar doors for tastings. There are any number of wineries to choose from and based on the riding abilities of the group and timings, a minimum or 2 perhaps more will be visited.
An exclusive platter style lunch is included in your tour, at a 'locals only' venue that your guide will take you to, where you will enjoy some of the sumptuous local produce from the McLaren Vale region & surrounds. Perhaps a cheeky shiraz or chardonnay over lunch?
The day sadly concludes with your transport back to Adelaide. Vehicle support is included and any purchases and exhausted riders can be collected.
Trips are run on Thursdays and Saturdays from October to May with other days available on request.
