Mini-Chianti

Overview

Mini-Chianti is the shortest route to taste the L’Eroica atmosphere and its hilly terrain. This ride is only 46 km, which may take you around three hours to complete.

Despite being the shortes of the L'Eroica options, Mini-Chianti is an amazing route of L’Eroica. Get ready to enjoy the striking landscape of Brolio Castle and the Chianti Classico vineyards embedded in typical Tuscan vegetation. And when you descend towards Pianella, try to look back over your shoulder at Siena to see and admire just how beautiful the town is that you've just left. Finally, don’t forget to take a peek at the unique “leccione” – the two oaks that seem to be one and behold an unforgettable panorama.

Terrain

The ride's total elevation climb is 700m with the lowest altitude at 220m above sea level and the maximum at 518m.

For the first 8km, your legs are going to be tested a little bit with a short but not too difficult climb, followed by a long and pretty steep descent before you find yourself conquering another climb.

Access

The ride starts and ends in Gaiole in Chianti
