Thredbo has had its influence in the country’s mountain bike folklore for over two decades. It is an essential part of countless biking lovers’ lives. More than 30 miles of amazing riding to enjoy, including downhill, flow, all-mountain, cross-country and various skill parks for all levels.

Village Loop is a good warm-up when you want to ride Thredbo. It is mostly climbing with some sharp bends to spice things up. Catch the fresh air when traveling through forests, past waterways and rock pools.

This easy 1.3-mile loop is fantastic for any skill level as it is short, friendly, and scenic.

More details

Leaving from Valley Terminal, the trail goes past the base of Snowgums and Merritts Chairlift, and falls down below the Thredbo Bobsled. The rest of the journey is for exercising your legs with continuous climbing.

Make your way up behind Woodridge Estate before encountering rock pools. You may find a seat to rest and capture the sights of Merritts Creek. Back on game and follow up to Creek Station trail hub, where Village Loop, Friday Flat Loop, and All Mountain Trail link together.

After burning energy through some rock pools, you will see the trail connect to Kosciuszko Flow Trail. Stick into it and pedal back to Valley Terminal. For those who are still excited and willing to take another trip, ride through Gold Course Connector to reach the beautiful Gold Course Loop.
