Friday Flat Loop
Thredbo is one of the premier mountain biking destination in Australia. The summer mecca of mountain enthusiasts is a village located on Snowy Mountain in new South Wales. Thredbo has had its influence in the country’s mountain bike folklore for over two decades. It is an essential part of countless biking lovers’ lives. There are more than 30 miles of amazing riding to enjoy, including downhill, flow, all-mountain, cross-country and various skill parks for all levels.
After finishing the first half of Village Loop, you will reach Friday Flat Loop. This trail is another easy cross-country circuit in the Thredbo network.
From the trailhead, the route runs through the forest, heads toward the opening of Friday Flat ski area. The rolling trail leads you across bridges, into gum trees, and rise up the hill to Creek Station trail hub.
The trail is only 1.3 mile in length, good enough for an early easy flowy ride for any levels.
The singletrack is undulating and smooth. The first half is downhill, connecting with a winding climb and some rolling stretches.
The trail is accessed from Village Loop. Start thr ride at the Thredbo Valley Track trailhead.
Food and drink
Numerous options are available in the village. The trail can also be finished in just under an hour.
After reaching the Creek Station trail hub, it is either fun to stick on the Loop or hop onto All Mountain Trail and conquer the peak. If you would love to finish the ride, swing back down the High Noon switchbacks.
Friday Flat Loop is actually the connection between Thredbo Valley Track and Bridle Loop with other parts of the network.
