Skyline – Snowshoe Mountain Bike Park

Overview

Opened since 2013, Skyline is one of the newest members of Snowshoe Mountain Bike Park. This trail is arguably the most fantastic flow trail in the system with endless berms, rollers, and jumps.

Like other trails in the park, Skyline is a downhill ride starting at the top of the Western Territories lift on the left side. The trail descends through a small number of trees, passing the trailhead of 10 Gallon to reach an intersection with a big wooden road gap feature.

Terrain

A series of big berms, rollers, and table jumps that are machine groomed.

Access

The route starts at the top of the Western Territories lift on the left side.

Food and drink

Water and food are self-supplied.

More details

From the intersection, continue straight and enjoy a few more bermed turns before a long and fast section under the lift. When the trail runs under the trees again and passes an intersection with Pro DH, get ready for the real Skyline!

Skyline begins with a few big rollers and a giant bermed turn, which gives you an overview of flow trail rides. The ride continues with step-up and step-down jumps to a short boardwalk feature. This section is flatter and fast, perfect to catch your breath.

The next section is the most fun and thrilling portion of Skyline. It’s a little steeper and faster with deeper berms and bigger jumps. When you reach a large right-hand termed turn, the ride is mellow down and passes the bottom intersection with Pro DH. However, it’s still fast with some s-turns.

For a big end, Skyline returns to the forest and bangs through a series of quick turn and short descents. It then crosses a creek and heads down to the bottom of the Western Territories lift. Well done!
